We went to the beach, and this crow stood still long enough for me to snap a photo.
I also took some photos of Suki on the nearby dock.
We took the ferry into Vancouver.
I changed the nesting box material from pine shavings to hay. The girls were not impressed at first, but after a bit they discovered hay is way better than shavings.
This really neat butterfly or moth was fluttering around my potted herbs and stopped for a break.
And finally, while not the best photo because I had to take it through the kitchen window, this buck stopped by the check out the chickens when I had them out in the exercise pen. The girls were smart enough to stand back and eye him up from afar, but the three cockerels went right up to the fence to check him out.
It was a little unnerving as it’s not unheard of for deer to snack on little birds, but I kept an eye on them and after a bit of sniffing he moved on.
