I did it. I kicked Sauvage out of the Anvers’ coop. The area was too confined and he was getting too forceful with the hens, who aren’t big enough to stand up for themselves. I had heard the sad squeak of a tiny hen being accosted for the last time, went outside, picked him up, and gently tossed him into the big pen to let the large ladies teach him some manners.
They’re actually very fair with him, but they don’t hesitate to put him in his place if he gets out of line.
The Barnevelder follows him around a lot, which he finds both exciting and terrifying.
So far they are getting along really well, and I’m glad I decided to move him.
Except I get the feeling the ladies think he’s an idiot.
