I suppose mistakes are to be expected. For Suki’s first meal I baked a meatloaf with the intention of also serving it to my boyfriend and I. After baking a full batch of the stuff I learned I don’t like meatloaf, so now Suki has pre-portioned frozen meals for the next two weeks. Thankfully she doesn’t seem to mind. The Mutt Loaf, as it’s called in the book, is extremely retains quite a bit of moisture content when baked and I was able to shape it into patties using a measuring cup. Storing the loaf as pre-portioned patties has made feeding Suki extremely easy so far, so for anyone who wants to cook large batches of food to store in the freezer I would say the Mutt Loaf shaped into patties is the way to go. I separated the patties using squares of wax paper, then put a few days worth in the fridge and froze the rest in a Ziploc bag.
Because the recipes are from a book I can’t share them all online, but once I’ve tried a few I’ll likely post one as a sample. I also plan to create my own recipes, which I will of course share here.
